Transaction Basics
Process a Sale To process a sale manually, use the Merchant Portal. Select Transactions, then Run a Manual Transaction. You will need to provide the credit card, purchaser, and charge information.
Void a Transaction To void one or more transactions manually, use the Merchant Portal. Select Transactions, then Transactions Available for Void. (NOTE: You can only void charges on the same day before 12am CST – otherwise, you will need to refund the charge.)
Refund a Customer Charge To refund one or more charges manually, use the Merchant Portal. Select Transactions, then Transactions Available for Credit. (NOTE: The credit that appears by default is the full amount of the original transaction. You may, however, change the amount to a partial credit.)
Lookup a Charged Transaction To refund one or more charges manually, use the Merchant Portal. Select Reports, then Transaction Search.
Process Credit Card Transactions in QuickBooks You will need a separate merchant account. QuickBooks includes additional features, such as downloading transactions and viewing funding status. Visit QuickBooks Merchant Services, or call 800-397-0707 to learn more.
Merchant Account Basics
Update my account information Your account information can only be changed by faxing a signed form to our support offices. The form can be downloaded here.
Find my password Your password was sent in the welcome email. If you contact Support at 877-484-8444, we can send the welcome email again, with a new password.
Change My Username or Password Innovative Gateway does not allow you to update your username. But you can change your password by logging into the Merchant Portal, and using the Change Password found under the Security tab. Your new password must match our standards for complexity.
Add or Remove an IP Address from my Registered List of Servers Gateway Support can assist you by updating your list of IP’s. However, if you remove an IP, any transactions which you attempt to send from that server in the future will fail. Please contact Support at 877-484-8444 for assistance.
Close my gateway account Innovative Gateway requires you to send a signed letter in writing to close your gateway account. This must include the merchant account number, reason for closing, and a signature from the principle of the account.
